Uncloseted Media’s editor-in-chief Spencer Macnaughton interviews epidemiologist and scientific fact-checker Gideon Meyerowitz-Katz about what we can learn from research about trans healthcare.
Thank you. Knowledge and education are an absolute necessity regarding LGBTQ truths. I have an early teenager grandchild who is trans with the loving support of his parents. She is getting the medical attention she needs. I have always thought of myself as open minded and accepting. However, over a year ago when I learned of their journey, I found it difficult to wrap my head around their decisions. I have read and watched everything I can to understand and appreciate what it means to be transgender. My education continues and I would move heaven and earth to support my granddaughter.
I just realized I used the pronoun "him" early in my response. It is a journey and I am always open to loving suggestions on how to be on this journey.
We did not add this in as we imagined folks would just watch the video. However, we have heard this feedback from multiple readers and will be sure to include the transcript on future pieces like this. Thanks for your note, Jeane :).
Such a good piece!
Thank you for this information. This is exactly what people need to know to be better informed.

Any chance there’s a transcript of the interview?
