I’m not spending a dime in Florida. I’m sad I can’t visit my friends there but we have to fight against fascism with the only weapon they care about, money.

I haven't spent a nickel on travel TO Florida or on anything known to be FROM Florida since the Floridian GOPMAGAs declared war on Trans and gender expansive Americans.

I check the labels and make sure my citrus comes from Mexico, California, or Brazil.

I do not purchase goods, services, or intellectual property from Florida based manufacturers or content creators if I can help it.

It can be done.

A little intentionality and intersectionality can go a long way if scaled.

So screw Florida and every other transgender genocidalist state.

They don't want, don't need, and sures as sh*t don't DESERVE my queer dollars.

I have enough memories of Key West to last the rest of my life, I don't need to go back.

Yes we have left Florida and Disneyworld off our vacation list. I know other states are anti gay and anti transgender but Florida has just been so nasty and vocal about it. Seems like Florida and Texas are trying very hard to socially cleanse LGBTQ people out of their state even though LGBTQ kids are born there every day. It maybe that I live in a very blue state that you still have full protection and others are not, like going from Texas to Florida.

Not coincidentally, these were the two states where Jim Crow persecution was at its worst. I think these were the last two states to “accept” desegregation laws, although I don’t think they ever really did “accept” the premise of equal rights for all.

I'm a native Floridian, and a transgender woman. I wish my LGBTQ+ community would stop traveling here.

There was talk about travel boycotts so many times through the first few years of the 2020s and they never seemed to stick. There have even been organizations, like HRC and the NAACP, that have placed the strongest travel advisories against travel to Florida. Erin Reed has listed Florida as a dangerous place to travel. Florida has even renovated its information for LGBTQ+ individuals traveling here from all travel sites. Yet, people keep traveling here. I don't believe there will ever be an effective boycott on Florida travel. I wish it would happen. I wish big event organizers would stop hosting things here like Megacon. I wish people could make a difference here, but people in the community still come here, get their Chick-fil-A, and shop at Publix and Hobby Lobby so my wish will most likely remain just that.

I cannot presently imagine circumstances that I would even consider going to either Florida or Missouri. The hatefulness is unacceptable.

I have friends and family in FL, but I’ve decided, for both security and protest reasons, I’m not setting foot in that state until DeSantis is gone.

I LIVE in Florida. I beg you to please not come here. This state needs to see how hatred does not pay off. They have created a bubble of right wing hatred and LGBTQ people have become so oblivious, or willfully ignorant of it, that it is very disturbing. My husband and I are counting down the days where we can retire OUT of Florida.
